Richmond Tigers vs Greater Western Sydney Giants Preview
Richmond fans felt disappointment in round one for the first time in over 10 years when the Blues got the better of them last Thursday night.
There are question marks started to arise with Richmond players that have been so good for so long in the yellow sash and none more so than Jack Reiwoldt in my opinion.
He touched the football just six times to start the season but there are a number of problems with the Tigers going into forward fifty and at stoppages.
They lost the stoppage clearance count 26-10 and overall stoppages 40-22 and were standing still late in the contest as the Blues ran riot.
The bad news for Richmond is that the Giants started their season by winning the contested possession count, as well as the centre clearances, despite losing to Sydney.
Richmond are too good a football team to put in two bad performances in a row but I’m not keen to back either team in head to head betting.
The total points margin of 163.5 points seems low to me especially after such a high scoring round throughout the opening round.
